Recently I decided to make a switch from my own personal CMS built on the CodeIgniter Framework to the much more IMPRESSIVE CMS [Content Management System] PyroCMS. Enabling some superior functions to those I fashioned myself.

I was previously running on Ion Auth a contribution to CI from Ben Edmunds but have cleared out quite a bit of the odds and ends I had previously installed. Making me feel quite a bit better, especially considering I’m OCD when it comes to the internal workings of my projects.

Also I have recently applied for the Rockstart Accelerator; using RaveCity as my submission for a promising start-up. I’m currently waiting to hear the results of my project evaluation.

And in personal news within the next week I should finally be leaving for my twice-canceled [3rd time's the charm!] vacation to Hawaii. Which couldn’t come any sooner considering I’m pulling my hair out from stress; but that’s another post altogether..

On a more positive note the RaveCity Facebook Page has grown to 320 likes + 61 talking about; in the grand scheme of things it’s not that impressive, but it’s definitely getting there, especially considering I’m the main content driver [aside from community posts by fellow promoters].

Last but not least, obviously RaveCity was postponed from a release date of 12/31/11 and is still on-track for an April Beta Release. Only time will tell, but I’ll be chipping it away as quickly as possible.

Well I’m starting to doze off [a side-effect of writing my blogs at the end of my night] so I’m going to draw this post to a close.

Now that the holidays are over, I can finally get back on track with RaveCity; the NYE Beta release didn’t pan out, although I’m not too bummed seeing as I knew it was likely. The new release date for RC Beta is April 1st 2012 [Also my birthday!]

As far as RC is concerned I’ve added quite a few Easter eggs, some back-end features not many will ever get to enjoy, and I’m currently rolling out a new UI version. I got a bit distracted this holiday season between quitting Arby’s, Xmas, NYE, and my friend Jake’s birthday; but as I’ve mentioned I’m back on track and slaving away over a roasting laptop [I'll touch on that some other time].

So why the beautiful picture of Hawaii? [courtesy of Furiousxr] Well recently a friend of mine planned a 12 day vacation to Maui and Oahu and he happens to enjoy the company of friends; so he invited me and Jake to tag along FOR FREE. So yea, it may be bragging, but I’m SO EXCITED, although I am currently without a camera Anyways, we take off this Thursday morning and I’m not sure I’ve ever been this excited! [we're talking giddy school girl level of excitement]
